My Story

OPPORTUNITY DETECTIVE

Never really knowing what I wanted to do with my life. Post college from the University of Oregon. I found myself with a degree in communication and not a lot of prospects. I needed a job and the only one I found myself attracted to was sales. First wine, then payroll and a few others.

A book I read changed my life. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The story of two lives one with a job and the other with entrepreneurial. Attracted to working for myself and wanting more I found myself at a local Real Estate Investment club. The year was 2003.

California Real Estate was red hot. I knew nothing about Real Estate but I wanted in. I found myself sending lots of letters and making offers. I found a few deals. But I couldn’t keep the wheel turning enough to make a good living at it.

I was able to get a handful of rental properties when the market collapsed and inventory was through the roof. I thought I’d made it.

I resented getting my license as I thought I could do better on my own. For several years I found myself in and out of the Real Estate business.

Out of frustration I decided to get my license as my experience had grown over the years and I found myself helping people, often in transition. Many of those people who were inheriting a property and needed guidance to get clean title.

This has been a wonderful experience for me as I get to help those who have inherited an estate but are challenged with what to do next.
